Waste Pretreatment Forum Scheduled for September

The Second Annual Tri-State Industrial Waste Pretreatment Forum will be held 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 27-28 at the Sheraton Inn North, Warrendale, Pa.

The event is open to all wastewater treatment personnel and representatives of industries that discharge wastewater into a public sewer system.

Allegheny County Chief Executive James C. Roddey will open the forum. Presentations will cover the latest regulatory issues from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Ohio EPA and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for industrial waste pretreatment. Case studies and innovative approaches to funding a municipal pretreatment program also will be discussed. Vendor exhibits will be available both days.

The forum is co-sponsored by the Western Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Association, the EPA and the Pennsylvania DEP.
