Webcast to Teach about PE Pipe Installation

The American Water Works Association will conduct a webcast about the installation and maintenance of Polyethylene (PE) pipe on October 24, 2007 at 1PM Eastern Time.

Utility supervisors, operators, engineers and contractors are invited to log in to “PE Pipe in the Field” for a 1 ∏ hours webcast on the proper use of PE pipe. Topics include how to safely handle, transport, install and repair PE pipe. The speakers will be AWWA PE Pipe Committee members and authors of the AWWA manual M55: Design and Installation of Polyethylene Pipe: John Fishburne from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities, Jim Craig of McElroy Manufacturing, Inc. and Bill Adams of WL Plastics Corporation.
