NGWA November Conference to Focus on Gasoline and Organic Chemicals in Ground Water

Sept. 10, 2007

The National Ground Water Association will hold a conference in November called, “Petroleum Hydrocarbons and Organic Chemicals in Ground Water: Prevention, Detection, and Remediation.” The conference will be held November 5-6 in Houston.

The conference, now in its 24th year, is a forum for addressing the topic of cleaning up petroleum hydrocarbons and other organic compounds in ground water. This year’s edition will feature a conference within a conference—MTBE: Assessment, Remediation, and Public Policy. Another highlight is a special session on ethanol.

Overall, the conference will provide a trade show, workshops, platform presentations and a regulatory roundtable. It also will provide access to oil and chemical companies, consultants, new technologies and applications, and leading providers of monitoring and remediation equipment.

The conference is cosponsored by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
