The Awwa Research Foundation (AwwaRF), the leading nonprofit water research foundation dedicated to advancing the science of drinking water, has named James C. Parone as director of finance and administration.
In this role, Jim will be responsible for AwwaRF’s finance, technologies, administration, and various human resource activities. Jim comes to AwwaRF from American Animal Hospital Association, where he served as its director of finance and technologies for 10 years. He also has extensive experience with nonprofit cooperatives in rural electric and banking. Jim earned a B.S. degree in finance from Indiana University and an M.B.A from Regis University. In addition, he is a licensed Certified Financial Planner.
Robert C. Renner, executive director of AwwaRF, comments that, “Jim Parone will be replacing Cheryl Kring, who has been the director of administrative services for AwwaRF for 28 years. We are delighted to have Jim join AwwaRF but will miss Cheryl and wish her well in her retirement.”
