Suntec Pure Water Technologies, Inc., announced that effective July 15, 2007 Suntec's water treatment facility in Wheatland County, Alberta, will be temporarily closed in response to a severe downturn in oil and natural gas drilling and fracturing activity in the area.
Suntec expects to resume operations at the facility upon drilling and fracturing activity in the Wheatland County area returning to the elevated activity levels experienced in prior years.
Suntec continues to develop its proprietary water treatment technology and is actively seeking a joint venture partner, both for the further commercialization of its patented CHIPS technology as well as for the additional water treatment technology currently under development.
