Marmon Water LLC, through a subsidiary, has acquired the assets of KX Industries, Limited Partnership, a supplier of residential water filtration systems. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Based in Orange, Conn., KX supplies extruded carbon block used in residential filtration systems and refrigeration filtration. Marmon Water comprises more than a dozen companies that supply water treatment and filtration products and systems to residential and industrial customers globally.
“We see great growth opportunities in a business that helps meet the universal need for clean, safe, affordable water in an environmentally responsible way,” Marmon Water president John Goody said.
Going forward, the KX business will operate as KX Technologies LLC. Goody noted that KX provides a range of technologies that complement Marmon Water’s strong capabilities in both residential and industrial ion exchange based products and Marmon’s recently announced exclusive licensing of membrane technologies for North America from Singapore-based Hyflux Ltd.
Marmon Water companies operate within three groups. The Residential Group includes U.S.- based EcoWater Systems and affiliates in China, Singapore, Europe and Canada. The Separations Technology Group now includes KX Technologies as well as Graver Technologies and several license and joint venture agreements with companies such as Hyflux. The Industrial Group includes Ecodyne Limited, Ecodyne Water Treatment, Graver Water Systems, Ecodyne MRM and Ecodyne UET, and Amarillo Gear Company.
Marmon Water companies are members of The Marmon Group, an international association of more than 125 business units that operate independently within diverse business sectors.
