National Database of Water Reuse Facilities Launched

May 1, 2007

The WateReuse Association launched the National Database of Water Reuse Facilities (NDWRF) to encourage, improve, and disseminate information regarding the practice of water reuse.

The NDWRF is a comprehensive database of reuse programs and facilities across the United States that can be used by agencies, utilities, consultants, and reuse water customers to advance the practice and implementation of water reuse at the local, regional, state, and national levels.

The NDWRF is the result of a multi-year research project sponsored by the WateReuse Foundation. From 2005 to 2007, utilities were surveyed to gather data on production and distribution, quantity of reuse for certain applications, management practices, rates, and utility contacts. WateReuse Association members and WateReuse Foundation Subscribers have limited complimentary access to the data.
