Call for Speakers: Autovation 2007

Jan. 23, 2007

The AMRA has extended an invitation to all utility professionals to submit presentation proposals for Autovation 2007. AMRA is actively seeking professionals who are interested in sharing their real world experiences regarding AMR/AMI. Utility speakers will receive a complimentary registration to Autovation 2007, from Sept. 30-Oct. 3 in Reno, Nev. Attendees will be able to see scores of other papers, take part in pre-symposium courses and see the industry's premier exhibition of the latest AMR/AMI technologies. Autovation 2007 will be an exemplary, educational conference. Sharing one’s expertise enables AMRA to deliver essential educational content for every utility type and experience level.

Interested readers may visit http://www.amra-intl.org/autovation/cfp.cfm for more extensive instructions and submittal information. AMRA's program committee will consider all submissions. To ensure timely consideration, applicants should submit proposals by Feb. 15. Later submissions will be considered, but may not fit into the 2007 schedule. To help select a topic, the program committee assembled the following areas of interest: meter reading and data collection, billing/revenue cycle services, customer assurance/CIS, field operations/GIS integration, information management, protocol standards, customer services, AMR/AMI program management, and installation/deployment/testing.

Members and non-members are welcome to submit proposals. AMRA headquarters staff will share details about the review process, presentation requirements, deadlines and speaker policies with all individuals who submit proposals. Vendors are welcome to submit proposals along with an identified utility speaker. AMRA will provide only one complimentary registration per presentation, unless multiple utility representatives are presenting a paper.
