ICONICS’ Agrusa Re-elected to OPC Foundation Board

Russ Agrusa, the chief executive officer of ICONICS, has been re-elected to the OPC Foundation Board of Directors.

The OPC Foundation has over 450 members from around the world, including nearly all of the world's major providers of control systems, instrumentation, and process control systems. OPC maintains open specifications that standardize the communication of acquired discrete and process data, and alarm and event records between significant automation devices. These devices include sensors, instruments, PLCs, RTUs, DCSs, HMIs, historians, trending subsystems, alarm subsystems and more as used in the automotive, pharmaceutical, utility, machine builders and oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

"Russ Agrusa has clearly demonstrated his outstanding commitment to secure reliable interoperability, and his visionary, technical and marketing expertise cannot be underestimated with respect to his position on the OPC Foundation Board of Directors," said Tom Burke, OPC Foundation president and executive director. "The dedication and leadership that Russ provides to the OPC Foundation has championed many of the OPC Foundation marketing and technical programs including the new OPC Foundation Unified Architecture.”

Russ Agrusa has over 25 years of experience in managing software development of HMI/SCADA and control products for the process control and data acquisition industry.
