WQA Mourns the Passing of James W. Wakem, III

Nov. 1, 2006

The Water Quality Association (WQA) mourns the passing of Jamie and Barb Wakem’s son, James W. Wakem, III (Jamie), who passed away suddenly Oct. 23, 2006. He was 27 years old.

Many WQA members know the Wakem family through the association, the Water Quality Research Foundation (WQRF), and through Atlantic Filter Corp. Jamie worked for his father in sales at Atlantic Filter. His sister, Amanda, also works for the company.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that WQA friends make memorial donations to the Ray Cross Challenge, benefiting WQRF.
