AMRA Announces 2006-2007 Board of Trustees

AMRA, the international voice of the AMR industry, announced the 2006-2007 Board of Trustees at Autovation 2006: The AMRA International Symposium in Nashville, Tenn.

Board members provide the strategic vision and guidance for AMRA, the leading authority on information critical to the understanding and application of a wide range of automatic meeting reading (AMR) and advanced meter infrastructure (AMI) technologies. The board also sets policies to ensure effective governance and fiscal health of the association. In fulfillment of these goals, the following board members will lead the organization in 2006-2007:

  • President—James Andrus of Elster Electricity, LLC in Raleigh, N.C.
  • President Elect/Education—Stephen Carrico of Lee Lake Consulting in Pound, Wis.
  • Senior Vice President of Advocacy—Bernie Bujnowski of PPL Utilities in Allentown, Pa.
  • Vice President/Communications—Sandra Fernstrom of TWACS by DCSI in Hazelwood, Mo.
  • Vice President of Administration and Finance—Kevin W. McDonald of Georgia Power Co. in Forest Park, Ga.
  • Vice President/Technology—Clark Pierce of PSE&G in Newark, N.J.
  • Immediate Past President—Brian Pollom of Trilliant Networks in Sammamish, Wash.
  • Trustee—Bruce Carpenter of Portland General Electric in Portland, Ore.
  • Trustee—Ricky Caruolo of Providence Water in Providence, R.I.
  • Trustee—Ron Chebra of KEMA in Mercerville, N.J.
  • Trustee—Jana Corey of Pacific Gas & Electric in San Francisco, Calif.
  • Trustee—Steven C. Fifrick of Wisconsin Public Service Corp. in Green Bay, Wis.
  • Trustee—Greg Harrington of the Nolan Rural Electric Cooperative Corp. in Elizabethtown, Ky.
  • Trustee—Dave Herchko of Sensus Metering Systems in Raleigh, N.C.
  • Trustee—David R. Scott of Northeast Utilities in Hartford, Conn.
  • Trustee—Don Schlenger of Cognyst Consulting, LLC in Kinnelon, N.J.
  • Trustee—Bryan Seal of SmartSynch in Jackson, Miss.
  • Trustee—Rick Stevens of Hydro One in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

AMRA also recognized the outstanding support given by recent Past President Maritza Jackson, who retired this year from the board. Jackson provided key leadership in the roles of board president from 2002-2004 and chair of the Nominations, Awards and International Liaison committees.
