UV Pure Technologies, Inc. received the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Canada award today during the international Globe 2006 conference in Vancouver.
The award verifies that UV Pure’s Hallett series meets the rigorous performance standards of NSF/ANSI 55 Class A, providing microbiological purification of drinking water through their Crossfire Technology and disinfecting water for pathogens including viruses, bacteria such as E. coli, and parasitic cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. UV Pure’s proprietary Crossfire Technology is found in all of their water purification and treatments systems, including their line of Upstream systems, which were launched in February 2005.
Representatives from the U.S. EPA, as well as guests from Europe, Japan, South Korea, India, Bangladesh and the United Nations Environment Program, attended the ETV awards luncheon, due to their keen interest in finding reliable performance verification for environmental technologies. ETV provides these potential buyers with assurance that the technology vendors’ claims are valid, credible and supported by quality independent test data and based on sound scientific and engineering principles.

I am personally very familiar with the significant water-related issues from South East Asia and Bangladesh.
