David Froehlich Joins Woolpert as Water Management Senior Engineer

David Froehlich, Ph.D., PE, recently joined Woolpert, Inc., a national design firm, as a water management senior engineer. Froehlich will be working with municipal, state, federal and international clients in order to solve complex water management problems in inland systems as well as the coastal areas. He brings over 25 years of research, design and management experience in water resources to the position.

Froehlich’s experience spans extensive work in hydraulic analysis and other water resource management applications, including sediment and contaminant transport in rivers and coastal waters, groundwater flow, surface water flow and stream channel stability. He has been instrumental in computational fluid dynamics finite element model developer advancements as well.

Dr. Froehlich earned a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Colorado State University, and is a member of the American Geophysical Union, American Society of Civil Engineers, Association of State Dam Safety Officials and International Association for Hydraulic Research.
