A key international environmental group is holding its Regional Conference in conjunction with WQA Aquatech USA 2006, a move sure to bring a new audience to the event.The U.S. chapter of the Interamerican Association of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering (USAIDIS) will hold their VII Regional Conference alongside WQA Aquatech USA, March 28 to April 1, 2006, in Chicago (Rosemont), Ill.
USAIDIS promotes sound environmental practices, policies, management and education to improve the quality of life throughout the Americas. Emphasis is on new technologies and concepts for small and medium systems for water supply, wastewater and solid waste management.
The group's main body, AIDIS, was founded in 1946, and is dedicated to the betterment of knowledge and exchange of data, information and experiences related to sanitary engineering and environmental health.
AIDIS presently has over 32,000 members throughout its 24 sections covering 32 countries in the Americas, including the Caribbean. The World Health Organization (WHO), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Organization of American States (OAS) officially recognize AIDIS as a leader in the field of sanitary and environmental engineering.
USAIDIS Regional Conference attendees will receive complimentary admission to the trade show exhibition for WQA Aquatech USA—the most comprehensive array of products and services in the water treatment industry.
