PolyPipe Expanding Product Line Out West

May 13, 2005

PolyPipe, Inc. announced plans to expand its western U.S. pipe plant to include large diameter pipe production. The expansion, at its existing Fernley, Nev., plant, will enable better service, delivery and pricing for large diameter pipes in the western markets for industrial, water, wastewater and mining uses.

PolyPipe currently produces large diameter pipe up to 36 and 54 in., in diameter at its north Texas and Tennessee plants, respectively. PolyPipe expects to complete the expansion in the first half of 2006.

"We’ll be able to better serve our customers for large diameter pipe in the west and this fits very well into our strategy to grow the business prudently," said David Fordyce, PolyPipe chief executive. "This straightforward addition compliments our large diameter offering in the central and eastern U.S."
