Johns Hopkins University Seeks Utility Volunteers

May 21, 2004

Researchers at the Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) are seeking wastewater utility volunteers to provide influent, effluent and sludge samples for a nationwide study of the fate of disinfectants and personal care products in the environment.

This study is funded by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Public Health Tracking Program. JHSPH will provide sample containers and detailed instructions.

Participants will receive data on the concentrations of selected household chemicals in the samples they provide.
