WorldWater Corp. Signs Agreement with Counterpart International

WorldWater Corp. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Counterpart International (CPI), a Washington, D.C.-based non-governmental organization (NGO), to collaborate on agricultural and irrigation development and water management projects. The initial joint efforts will focus on projects in the Philippines, Afghanistan and Iraq, according to Don Feil, Vice President of CPI and Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman and CEO of WorldWater.

CPI is currently implementing projects in Northern Iraq for the U.S. Department of State and the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees (UNHCR), including emergency resettlement, community reconstruction and economic development.

Both WorldWater and Counterpart are already independently operating in the Philippines: WorldWater has a wholly owned subsidiary, WorldWater Philippines, Inc., and Counterpart has a Philippine-registered subsidiary, Counterpart Philippines, and an investment facility, EnviroVentures.
