The Asset Group (TAG) recently announced the completion of Phase I and the beginning of Phase II of the GIS Program for the Cleveland Department of Utilities.

TAG is providing citywide GIS services for the Department’s Division of Water.

Phase I of the project, a GIS pilot and system design, began in May 2001 and Phase II, which includes GIS data conversion, training and hardware and software implementation, is expected to finish in early 2006.

An important aspect of the project is to create new jobs for the city and ensure that project work is carried out by citizens of Cleveland.
