Environmental Protection Agency Names Best Water Quality Report In Florida

The EPA recently named the City of North Miami Beach 2002 Water Quality Report (WQR) the best in Florida and chose it to represent the state in the competition for best WQR in the South East Region IV.

Judged on appearance, inclusion of all mandated sections, community relations programs and initiatives, overall water quality message and design, contest entries included competitors from across the state.

The North Miami Beach WQR will now compete against the best of the best from Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee for the EPA's Region IV best WQR.

"The EPA requires every water utility to print an annual Water Quality Report," affirmed assistant director of public services, Albert L. Perez.
