Local Utility and Councilman Parks Provide Area Youth with a Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity to Play Basketball on the Court at Staples Center
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and Los Angeles City Councilman Bernard Parks (8th District) are teaming up with the Los Angeles Clippers to provide 20 children with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play basketball on the court at Staples Center.
On April 16, the children, ages 10-14, will learn basketball skills techniques from Clippers players and coaches. Immediately following the on-court activity, the youngsters will be treated to tickets to watch the Clippers play in their season finale against the Portland Trailblazers.
The event is one of the community outreach events that LADWP participates with in order to demonstrate its commitment to the community and the youth of Los Angeles.
