Northwest Pipe Company Receives Major Order from San Joaquin Irrigation District

Northwest Pipe Company has been chosen to supply San Joaquin Irrigation District in California with approximately $5.0 million of welded steel pipe and fittings to be used to supply drinking water.

Northwest Pipe will provide approximately 12,791 feet of 68- to 74-inch-diameter steel pipe and fittings which is expected to be manufactured by the company's Portland, Oregon division. Delivery of the pipe is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2003. "We believe this project is indicative of improvements in the municipal water system market that is our primary focus," said Brian W. Dunham, chief executive officer.
