Karl M. Kyriss will become the new president of Philadelphia Suburban Corporation's largest operating subsidiary, Pennsylvania Suburban Water Company (PSW), effective March 10, replacing Morrison Coulter who will be retiring from the company in June after 42 years of service.
Kyriss, a professional engineer with 30 years of water and wastewater utility experience, comes to PSW from American Water Works Company, which announced its purchase by the large German multi-utility conglomerate, RWE, in January 2003.
As President, PSW, Kyriss will take charge of the largest operating subsidiary of the nation's largest U.S.-based investor-owned water utility, with responsibility for distribution, production, water treatment and water quality, water resources, maintenance and construction. PSW provides water to more than 1.3 million residents throughout southeastern, northern and central Pennsylvania.
