Carl Fischer Awarded DEE Certificate

Carl F. Fischer, P.E., of Baxter & Woodman, Inc., Consulting Engineers, has been awarded the certificate of Diplomate Environmental Engineer (DEE) from the Academy of Environmental Engineers. The American Academy of Environmental Engineers operates the nation’s first and oldest specialty certification program to board-certify those engineers with expertise in one of seven specialties of environmental engineering practice for the public’s benefit. Each diplomate has not only the standard prerequisites for specialty certification but also has passed an oral testing procedure by an admission panel of the Academy. The Academy’s certification program is accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards. Fischer’s specialty certification is in Water Supply and Wastewater Engineering.

Fischer earned his Civil Engineering degree from the University of Illinois and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Illinois. His 27 years of engineering experience can be divided into three areas of expertise, Potable Water, Wastewater and Stormwater. Professional Associations and memberships include Water Environment Federation, American Water Works Association, Oral Examination Boards of Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. Mr. Fischer is Vice President and Branch Manager at Baxter & Woodman, Inc.’s regional office in DeKalb, Ill.
