Ecology & Environment, Inc., (E & E) has been awarded a $5 million contract by the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) to support the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP).
The work entails the preparation of a feasibility study and environmental impact statement for the CERP that balances ecosystem restoration, water supply and flood control in north Palm Beach County. E & E and its team of subconsultants, including 30 percent minority firm participation, will be responsible for establishing baseline conditions; developing alternatives and conceptual designs; establishing water control strategies; and preparing final documentation for funding authorizations. All work will be closely coordinated with the SFWMD and the Jacksonville District of the Corps of Engineers.
