ADS Corporation Sells ORE Offshore Operations In Massachusetts, Texas

May 10, 2002

ADS Corporation has sold two business units as part of a company reorganization process, according to president and chief executive officer Wil Garland. It sold its ORE Offshore Products Division, located in East Falmouth, Mass, to EdgeOne LLC in Milford, Mass., and it sold its ORE Offshore Leasing unit in Houston, Texas, to Harvey-Lynch Inc.

"While ORE is a great operation, its expertise in undersea tracking is outside our business model for ADS. Our goal for ADS is to focus on our industry-leading water/wastewater equipment and information services programs for municipalities and industry around the globe," Garland said.

ADS acquired ORE in 1997 and operated it within its Accusonic Technologies subsidiary. Accusonic, which has approximately 40 employees, remains part of ADS and continues its operations in East Falmouth. Accusonic develops, manufactures, installs and services multi-path transit time flow-measuring equipment for the hydropower, irrigation, potable water and wastewater industries.

"Accusonic fits the business model we have developed for ADS. It complements the Environmental Services division‚s products and services and helps us serve a vast array of water management needs for clients in North America, Asia, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East," Garland added.

The ORE Offshore Products Division of Edge One continues operations under the name of ORE Offshore. It designs and manufactures underwater tracking and positioning systems for the offshore, scientific and military markets. ORE Offshore Leasing complements Harvey-Lynch’s offshore construction, underwater and seismic markets.
