U.S. Laboratories to Support New York City's $1 Billion Water Supply/Sewage Treatment Project

U.S. Laboratories Inc., a national and international quality control specialty services company to the construction, energy, public works, defense, aerospace and related engineering and architectural design industries, has announced that the company's Robert W. Hunt Company (R.W. Hunt) subsidiary will join forces with URS Corp. (URS) in support of New York City's more than $1 billion Water Supply/Sewage Treatment Construction Program.

The program commenced on Jan. 28, 2002 and is scheduled to take place over 48 months.

Under the new contract with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP), URS and R.W. Hunt will provide quality assurance services associated with the procurement of equipment and materials for use in the construction and rehabilitation of NYC's water supply and sewage treatment facilities. The four-year contract totals $12.5 million in value of which R.W. Hunt's share could reach $6 million.
