ARCADIS Names Jeff House as Watershed Management Business Practice Director

March 15, 2002

ARCADIS has chosen Jeff House to lead its new Watershed Management Practice, formerly Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM).

The Watershed Management Practice provides comprehensive physical, chemical and biological evaluations of watersheds, supporting implementation strategies to resolve complex water quantity and quality issues across broad geographic areas.

ARCADIS made the change from IWRM to Watershed Management to more closely describe its offerings. The services range from ecological studies to total maximum daily load analysis to wet weather analysis. Through its Watershed Management Practice, ARCADIS is able to perform planning, permitting, design, and construction management of dams, reservoirs, hydro facilities, stormwater management, water quality facilities, pump stations, levees, floodwalls and other similar civil works projects.

ARCADIS is pleased to announce that Jeff House will take on the responsibility of corporate Watershed Management Business Practice Manager. House joined ARCADIS' Atlanta office nearly 18 months ago. He has over 25 years of experience in water resources engineering, including watershed assessments and stormwater master plans, hydrolic and hydrodynamic modeling, FEMA flood insurance studies, GIS applications, stormwater utilities and funding, BMP design, environmental and NPDES permitting, wetlands and steambank restoration, and civil works projects. He is nationally recognized for his work in stormwater management and has directed the development of numerous stormwater and BMP design manuals for municipalities and other agencies across the southeastern United States.

"I am very excited about the possibilities for the Watershed Management Practice and having Jeff lead this effort. I look forward to the growth of the practice and developing synergy between the other business practices. ARCADIS is now positioned to take advantage of our tremendous national talent base in water and natural resources management," Executive Vice President Bob Stevens said.
