The Statistical Abstract of the United States is the standard summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic condition of the U.S. It is published by the U.S. Census Bureau every year.  The new 2001 edition is now available from the National Technical Information Service.

Highlights from this year's edition include:

* More data from the 2000 Census of Population and Housing
