Osmonics to Close Syracuse Operations

Osmonics, Inc. has announced plans to close their Syracuse, New York facility by the end of the second quarter 2002 in continuing efforts to rationalize product lines and to reduce excess manufacturing capacity.

The major product line, home reverse osmosis membrane elements, will be relocated to the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility within Osmonics' headquarters located in Minnetonka, Minnesota.   

Employees are being offered either severance packages or opportunities to transfer.

Osmonics is a leading manufacturer and worldwide marketer of high-technology water purification and fluid filtration, fluid separation and fluid handling equipment, as well as the replaceable components used in purification, filtration and separation equipment.
