Alamo Announces New Executive Team

Dec. 19, 2001

Alamo Water Refiners, Inc. is pleased to announce appointment of a new executive team. John Onken has been named president, succeeding Ian Knapp, who will become executive vice president responsible for new business development.

Onken brings a wealth of operational and financial knowledge to the company. He has general management experience with General Electric, financial and operating experience with The Marmon Water Group, Inc., and was vice president of finance with Eco Water Systems, Inc. He will manage the day-to-day business of Alamo while Knapp focuses on new product and business development.

Under Knapp's leadership the past year, Alamo expanded through its merger with Matt-Son, Inc. and Ecodyne, Inc. and enhanced its position as a leader in the distribution of water treatment products to OEMs and independent dealers as well as commercial and light industrial customers.

In his new role, Knapp will concentrate on developing new products and markets for Alamo. Among new products to be launched is a solid delivery form of Chorine Dioxide tablets, which the company believes will revolutionize the way water softeners, other water treatment equipment and cooling towers are sanitized.

The new management team will enable Alamo to reach its next level of growth and continue its tradition of providing the latest technologies.
