The Environmental Protection Agency has announced that G. Tracy Mehan has been sworn in as Assistant Administrator for the Office of Water. Mehan will manage EPA's programs, policies, standards and regulations relating to all water issues in the United States. Mehan is a former EPA official, and served as a member of the cabinet of Michigan Governor John Engler, as director of Michigan's Office of the Great Lakes. He also served previously in Missouri as director of the state's Department of Natural Resources.

Cytec Industries Inc. announced that at the company's October 11 board of directors meeting James R. Stanley was elected to its board of directors. Stanley is president and chief executive officer of Howmet International .

Aqua Care Systems announced that Jim Ginnitti has been promoted to the new position of general manager of operations for the Industrial Group/Filtration and Separation Dynamics Division. He has served the past six years as material control manager. In addition, Wesley M. Borysewicz has been promoted to the new position of sales manager of the Industrial Group/Filtration and Separation Dynamics Division.

The European Bottled Water Association has announced the appointment of Marwan Nesicolaci to its board of directors. Nesicolaci is the general manager of international sales and marketing for Severn Trent Services. This appointment is his second, three-year term with the EBWA.
