MILWAUKEE, June 27, 2001 - Osmonics, Inc. (NYSE:OSM) announced today that its Milwaukee facility, which manufactures the Autotrol®-branded residential and commercial water treatment control valve products, recently completed registration of its quality system to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 series standards for quality through Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.
The ISO 9001 Quality System standard provides businesses with a framework around which to model their operations. The standard covers all aspects of operating a business, including management responsibility, customer input and feedback, product design, purchasing, planning, manufacturing, training and product servicing. "This certification reinforces our ongoing commitment to customers," said Ed Fierko, Osmonics president and chief operating officer. "Our Milwaukee facility's ISO 9001 certification furthers our corporate-wide commitment to creating and sustaining quality manufacturing processes that enhance our customers' satisfaction."
