Successful Staging of Envitec 2001

A total of 614 exhibitors from 25 countries and 69,000 visitors from around the globe took part in ENVITEC 2001, 10th International Trade for Environmental Technology with Conference, when it was recently held at the fairgrounds in Dussedorf, Germany. The visitor figure includes the attendees at the concurrently held A+A 2001, 23rd International Trade Fair for Occupational Safety an Health at Work with Congress. responding to exhibitor and visitor requests, ENVITEC and A+A were staged parallel for the first time this year.

In addition to the classic exhibit categories such as waste disposal, recycling and air pollution control, ENVITEC 2001, also featured exhibits in the two new categories, energy and drinking water. Over 90 percent of the visitors were satisfied with the trade fair and the products on display. "The new topics of environmentally-friendly energy and drinking water recovery plus the waster water treatment received very good responses from the visitors", explained Friedrich U. Arnold, President of ENVITEC 2001. "The concurrent staging of ENVITEC and A+A gave exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to make additional business contacts and expand their professional knowledge".

The show’s organizers are particularly pleased about the internationality at the fair. 25 percent of the exhibitors came from other countries and 25 percent of them came from overseas. The leading foreign exhibitors nations were Austria, Italy, Great Britain and Switzerland.
