How would you assemble a team of experts in water law, engineering, and valuation with expertise in groundwater rights in the Colorado River basin? The Water Strategist Community suggests you start by clicking on a category of "water experts" at www.waterchat.com.
The Water Strategist Community (http://www.waterchat.com) today launched an on-line directory of water experts in the fields of water appraisal and water brokering, water and environmental law, engineering, water development, consulting, and research. The Water Strategist Community, sponsored primarily by Stratecon, Inc., is a virtual water newsroom and discussion forum that brings together timely water news from over 250 government, corporate, water agency, and environmental sources.
The Experts Directory provides a free source for municipalities, water agencies, companies, and water right holders throughout the West to find an individual or a firm with specific expertise in a given geographic area. Once that expert is identified through the directory, a link is provided to the expert's website to obtain detailed information on experience and qualifications. Lisa Hahn, publisher of Water Strategist said, "We have created a virtual water resources yellow pages and a trade show exhibit hall for services to the water resources industry. This virtual exhibit hall is constantly updated with new firms and individuals with water expertise, so it will be the best source to locate and get instant information on services for the industry."
The Experts Directory is the latest addition to the Water Strategist Community, whose mission is to be the one-stop website for timely water news, networking for water professionals, information on key conferences, and a virtual exhibit hall of key providers of services and products for the water industry. Last month, a directory was launched of water associations and non-profit organizations that address water issues, promote public awareness, and sponsor water conferences. In the future, a water/wastewater management services directory will be developed.
Ms. Hahn stated, "We are very excited about facilitating information flow and providing our fellow water resource professionals with a home-page for their daily information needs. We have had a tremendous response to our website and I invite everyone to contact me with their ideas or questions."
