World Water-Tech North America Summit

Oct. 29, 2013 - Oct. 30, 2013

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Municipalities and public utilities in Canada, the U.S. and around the world are facing two key challenges: to reduce energy consumption across their facilities and to improve their customer service offering.

With a wave of new technologies coming on to the market, the challenge is to identify which solutions will really add value to a utility's operations – not just in terms of financial reward, but through longer-term risk management, customer engagement and environmental sustainability.

The World Water-Tech North America Summit in Toronto on Oct. 29 to 30, 2013 will feature utility leaders from around the world sharing the challenges they have faced and how they have integrated new technologies into their operations:

  • Nigel Ayton, managing director of Scottish Water Intl. will discuss how his utility was transformed into a profitable enterprise
  • Zohar Yinon, CEO of Israeli utility HAGIHON will share his experience of being an early adopter of smart water technologies
  • Bernd Zacharias, business development director for Germany’s Hamburg Wasser will present a case study of turning a wastewater treatment facility into an energy producing plant

And with wastewater re-use climbing up the agenda, we have an expert panel on this topic including:

  • Grant Davis, general manager, Sonoma County Water Agency
  • Robert Mace, deputy executive administrator, Texas Water Development Board
  • Daniel Kostopoulos, director, Capital Planning and Delivery, York Region

The utilities will be joined by some of the most exciting and innovative technology developers in today’s market presenting 7-minute snapshots of their solutions, giving you the opportunity to get right up to date with what’s out there, what’s possible, and how the landscape is changing.

Public utilities and municipalities are eligible for a reduced summit rate of $795. Register online or call+44 1273 669914 to reserve your place today.
