What Do You Know?
It's easy to take for granted an everyday activity like drinking a glass of water. But it's essential to recognize the major role drinking water plays in our daily lives; and that's why this week the American Water Works Assn. (AWWA) and the water community kicked off Drinking Water Week 2013 across North America. They want to know, "What do you know about H2O?"
Throughout the week, AWWA and partners across the water community will celebrate water by recognizing the role of drinking water, with a special focus on the ways all water consumers can "get to know their H2O."
Water utilities, environmental advocates and others will celebrate drinking water through school events, public presentations and community festivals, according to AWWA. They will also provide their communities with important tips for protecting water quality within their own homes and learning more about how drinking water is regulated and delivered.
AWWA and its members have been celebrating Drinking Water Week for more than 35 years. If your organization is doing anything to celebrate Drinking Water Week, WWD would like to hear about it. Send us an email at [email protected].
