This year’s American Water Works Assn. (AWWA) Conference & Expo (ACE10) will host more than 500 exhibitors and feature 1,000 industry expert speakers against the backdrop of the third-largest city in the U.S.—Chicago.

ACE10, taking place June 20 to 24 at McCormick Place, will feature 14 interactive workshops that will cover topics ranging from distribution systems and water auditing to water quality and sustainability. The top-notch professional program will include more than 100 half-day sessions of presentations.

The exposition itself will kick off with the Attendee Reception on Sunday, June 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and greet old and new friends and network with industry peers.

On June 21 at 10 a.m., following the Opening General Session, the exposition officially kicks off with its Grand Opening. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 21 and 22, and 9 a.m. to noon on June 23. An exclusive area in the exhibit hall will be devoted to its New Product Technology Showcase, with some of the most innovative technologies to address today’s challenges. Opportunities to speak with representatives of the participating companies will present themselves during select hours.

Some other noteworthy events to check out are the “Best of the Best” Water Taste Test on June 22 from 3 to 4 p.m.; the Career Fair on June 22 from 1 to 4 p.m.; the H2Open Forum, a panel discussion on sustainability of drinking water systems, on June 23 from 8 to 9:30 a.m.; the Canadian Water Forum/Water for People fund-raiser on June 21 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; and the Annual President’s Reception, featuring live music and incoming president Joe Mantua, on June 23 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
