Earth Tech to Lead Upgrade of Virginia Water Treatment Plant

Earth Tech will provide services to expand capacity and meet stringent nutrient standards

Earth Tech, the newest member of the AECOM Technology Corp. family of companies, announced that it has received a contract to provide engineering, program management, construction management and other services in connection with the ongoing $568 million modernization and upgrade project at the Arlington County Water Pollution Control Plant in South Arlington, Va.

Under the contract, Earth Tech will provide a range of services required to expand the facility’s capacity from 30 million gal per day (mgd) to 40 mgd and to meet stringent nutrient standards for the Chesapeake Bay. Earth Tech’s contract has a term of three years and an estimated value of $23 million over its lifetime.
