W&WD uses similar augmented reality tool to bring print magazine to life

With iOS 11, Apple announced a new augmented-reality tool: ARKit. Available for iPhone and iPad users, the tool blends digital objects with the natural environment, causing them to interact in unique ways. In other words, apps can now interact with the "real world.”

In a similar vein, Water & Wastes Digest (W&WD) also recently launched augmented reality features, bringing the print magazine to life. After downloading the Blippar app, readers can hover their smartphone cameras over the Blippar logo in the magazine to watch videos, explore links and much more. Editor-in-Chief Elisabeth Lisican shares how augmented reality will change the way you read W&WD.
