Understanding COVID-19 Market Impact for the Water & Wastewater Industry

April 13, 2020

Coronavirus, known as COVID-19, swept across the globe in early 2020, resulting in events cancellations, business closures, and project delays, among other business impacts.

To better understand the impact of this virus on the water and wastewater treatment industry, Water & Wastes Digest conducted a market impact survey to determine the extent to which businesses are affected.

This webinar shared some results from that survey and ask industry leaders how their organization was impacted and the avenues they used to overcome the challenges Coronavirus has presented them. Watch the full webinar on-demand.

Data from the survey will be used in an article to inform you and your peers about the issue, particularly as it relates to preparedness, staffing, continuing education and workforce policies.

Large gatherings, ranging from conferences to music festivals, are being cancelled in order to minimize contact and mitigate the issue.

Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. People should also avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness, such as coughing and sneezing.
