BluTech names companies to watch; SES Water selection Echologics technology

SES Water Selects Echologics Technology

Echologics will start one of the largest water pipe condition assessment projects in Europe with SES Water this month. Following completion of a successful initial trial with SES Water in 2018, the project includes the assessment of 273.8km (170 miles) of aging metallic mains.

Anon-invasive acoustic solution—ePulse—will be used to that assesses a pipe’s conditions and simultaneously detects leaks. It analyzes information about the pipe material, the time frame in which it was installed, the diameter of the pipe and the original wall thickness to estimate the condition and the remaining service life of the pipe.  

BlueTech Names 15 Water Technologies to Watch

The Innovation Showcase at BlueTech Forum 2019 featured more companies than years prior. The water technology companies taking part have been selected from across the world and boast innovative technologies addressing some of the water industry’s biggest challenges.

Potential applications include micropollutant detection, decentralized wastewater treatment, resource recovery, sludge management and zero liquid discharge. Technologies include a cloud-based artificial intelligence (AI) system for water main condition assessment, energy-efficient UV-LED drinking water disinfection systems, and a bio-based adsorbent material that can be customized to capture micropollutants from wastewater.

Watts to Host Webinar

Watts announced a customer webinar titled Intelligent Scale Solution to be broadcast live on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

Geared towards engineers, architects, and specifiers, this webinar will focus on the science and benefits of template-assisted crystallization as a scale prevention technology and how to compare its performance and efficiency to other scale prevention technologies. It will be presented by Peter Hewitt, product manager of OneFlow Solutions.

ABLOY Security To Feature Access Control Solution at ACE 19

ABLOY Security will showcase the ABLOY PROTEC CLIQ Connect at the American Water Works Assn. Annual Conference & Expo (ACE 19) June 10 to 12 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.

Jerry Burhans, U.S. managing director for ABLOY Security, said the remote management system offers security managers significant advantages and a user-friendly experience.
