PPI Adds Director of Engineering for Two Divisions

Aug. 4, 2015
Lance MacNevin will be responsible for each division's technical, marketing, educational and industry outreach programs

The Plastics Pipe Institute Inc., (PPI) announced that Lance MacNevin, P.E., has joined the association as director of engineering, Building and Construction (BCD) and Conduit (CD) Divs.

Reporting to the PPI President, MacNevin, a 22-year industry veteran, will be responsible for each division's technical, marketing, educational and industry outreach programs.  MacNevin will also be PPI’s spokesperson in the building, construction, plumbing, communication and electrical sectors where products such as PEX and CPVC pipe and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conduit are used. He will be active within industry organizations where standards and codes are established and updated.

PPI is the trade association representing all segments of the plastic pipe industry and is dedicated to promoting plastics as the material of choice for pipe applications.

MacNevin joins PPI from REHAU where, most recently, he managed the REHAU Academy, the company's training unit for contractors, engineers and architects.  He was responsible for creating technical training programs for REHAU construction products used in heating, cooling, snow and ice melting, HVAC controls, plumbing, water service and geothermal systems.  He was also REHAU's senior codes and standards specialist.

"Lance has an incredible track record of developing programs and working with just about every discipline involved within the construction industry," said Tony Radoszewski, president of PPI. "He was instrumental in creating the REHAU Academy, which has had more than 32,000 attendees since 2008. Additionally, Lance has plenty of frontline experience as a unit manager, product engineer and sales engineer.  He is well-versed in all aspects of engineering for these two PPI divisions and his leadership will be a welcomed asset for our members, their products and pipe applications.  He has an extensive resume, and has participated actively within PPI holding the chairmanship of the BCD twice in the past 10 years."

Radoszewski shared that the addition is a direct response to the trade association members’ commitment in market segments in which growth is clearly envisioned.

"Our member companies are feeling positive about the future and confident about the growing demand of plastic pipe in these two strategic markets," he said.  "Adding Lance as a key team player will help us to be better aligned for current and future marketplace demands.  It is a pleasure to welcome him to our staff."
