ITT Industries' Goulds Pumps Industrial Products Group (IPG) recently booked its largest PumpSmart order ever when Jiangsu SOPO Corp. purchased two 500-hp PS 200 systems and two 200-hp PS 200 systems for its acetic acid plant in Zhenjiang, China.
The PumpSmart controls, which provide operational logic for pumping systems, will cut energy costs and improve pump reliability for Jiangsu.
"This company was named one of the most important national enterprises by the China State Council. Our involvement will provide a successful case study of PumpSmart for future manufacturers in China," said Eric Shi, area sales manager for Goulds Pumps in Shanghai.
