Residents will see increased water and sewer rates as Scottsdale City Council members, who have just one more meeting before the newly elected council takes its seat in June, hurried to clear their plates of outstanding issues Monday night.
They voted unanimously to raise water rates 2.5% starting Nov. 1. The raise will help offset some of the costs incurred by new federal drinking water standards. Residents will see a 3% increase in wastewater rates to help pay for new infrastructure.
