The technology company CDMworld announced that they will be auctioning off the domain names of California Storm Water.com and California Storm Water.net through an online auction held on Ebay.
These domain names are in high demand due to the growing compliance requirements concerning Storm Water Pollution Prevention and the EPA NPDES Program.
"The State of California is a huge market and the environmental regulatory requirements around Storm Water are significant," said Todd Whitehurst of CDMworld. "CDMworld has decided to sell the names due to the increased interest in the names and their marketing potential to companies within the storm water compliance industry, NPDES education, government, and others working in and around water quality within the State.”
The Ebay auctions can be found on http://www.californiastormwater.com or http://www.californiastormwater.net. Bidding began on September 1, 2006 and continue through September 10, 2006. The winning bidder will have ownership of both domain names transferred to them.
CDMworld holds many other domain names within the environmental industry and stated that if this auction forum goes as expected they will release other names as the markets demand.
