Sundyne’s & Warburg Pincus Partnership Accelerates Growth
Sundyne announced that Warburg Pincus has completed the acquisition of Sundyne, from BC Partners Advisors L.P. and The Carlyle Group.
The acquisition was initially announced on Jan. 6, 2020. Sundyne’s current management team led by CEO Mark Sefcik, will continue under Warburg Pincus’ ownership.
Sundyne and Warburg Pincus have launched a 90-day transition period to formally identify areas of opportunity for developing and funding strategic initiatives that will broaden product offerings and enhance customer services globally, reported the press release.
Washington Water Service Acquires Rainier View Water Company
Washington Water Service (Washington Water) has received approval from the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission to acquire Rainier View Water Company’s (Rainier View Water) water system assets and provide water utility service to its 18,000 service connections.
Rainier View Water serves about 35,000 people in parts of Graham, Spanaway, Puyallup, Gig Harbor, and other nearby areas through its 27 water systems.
Kurita Water Industries Announces Merger Of U.S. Subsidiaries
Kurita Water Industries (Kurita) announced the completion of the merger of its consolidated subsidiaries in the U.S., including U.S. Water Services, Inc., Kurita America Inc., Fremont Industries, LLC, and Global Water Services Holding Company, Inc.
The newly combined company will be known as Kurita America Inc., and will be headquartered in St. Michael, Minnesota. LaMarr Barnes, former CEO of U.S. Water, will lead Kurita America Inc., as CEO.
Veolia North America Recognized for Innovative Energy Efficiency Technology
Veolia North America was recently presented with a 2019 SEAL Environmental Initiative Award for its innovative Hubgrade smart monitoring system, which helps buildings better manage their energy use.
The SEAL (Sustainability, Environmental Achievement and Leadership) Environmental Initiative Award is part of the annual SEAL Business Sustainability Awards, recognizing firms throughout the U.S. for promoting a more environmentally sustainable business model.
“This award demonstrates why we are focusing our business growth on innovative energy solutions that increase energy service and facility O&M contracts,” said Jack Griffin, vice president and general manager-Boston for SourceOne, a Veolia subsidiary. “We are committed to driving significant energy efficiency savings for our customers.”
