More than 500 exhibitors will showcase the latest products, technologies and services available at ACE09—AWWA’s 2009 Annual Conference & Exposition, which will take place at the San Diego Convention Center from June 14 to 18.
The event offers water professionals a variety of networking opportunities with key contacts, access to valuable information and the latest industry trends.
New for 2009 are two certificate programs: Public Officials and High-Tech Operator. The new Public Officials program includes three courses on the basics of water treatment and distribution, governance and finance/asset management to prepare utility managers and government officials with the knowledge and skills needed for water operations oversight. All three courses will be offered at ACE09. The High-Tech Operator program is also new, and it is designed to provide operators and others with an understanding of the cutting-edge technology used in the water industry. Course 1 of this program will be offered at ACE09.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to join fellow industry professionals on eight exciting plant and site tours in the San Diego area. Some of the tours include: a water conservation garden, the South Bay Water Reclamation Plant, the Twin Oaks Valley Water Treatment Plant, an emergency storage project and Sea World San Diego.
In addition, ACE09 will offer special networking programs and events for first-time attendees, public officials, international attendees, students, young professionals and job seekers.
