PRELOAD honors city with inaugural Concrete Decision Award

Preload LLC has announced the City of Fort Worth’s 5-mg finished water tank is the winner of the company’s inaugural Concrete Decision Award, making it Preload’s top prestressed tank in the country for 2016.

As the winner, the City of Fort Worth, Texas, will have a $3,000 donation made in its name by PRELOAD to Water for People, a nonprofit that supports international clean water projects. Additionally, Preload will make an additional $2,000 contribution to State or Regional Water for People initiatives. The Fort Worth Tank will have a featured patch on the vests of the well-known Water Buffalos motorcycle group as they ride across the U.S. for charity.

“The City of Forth Worth, as well as the team at Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., are incredibly deserving of this recognition,” said Ryan Harvey, CEO of Preload. “They were outstanding partners for bringing this project to life, and we are proud to make this $5,000 contribution to Water for People on their behalf.”

In total, more than a dozen tanks from across the U.S. were in the running for the inaugural Preload Concrete Decision Award, which is a celebration of the communities and industries that are home to Preload's top tank projects.

“It’s a great honor to have won the 2016 Concrete Decision Award, which brings positive attention to the community and infrastructure that oftentimes doesn’t get the attention it deserves,” said a representative from Fort Worth. “We look forward to working with Water for People on regional water projects and with the Water Buffalos as they continue to raise awareness for clean water.”
