Under alliance, 3M will assume exclusive distribution rights for sale of Sewerin’s entire water leak detection product portfolio in the U.S.

Sewerin GmbH and 3M announced an expansion of the strategic alliance between 3M and Sewerin GmbH of Gutersloh, Germany. Under the alliance, 3M will assume the exclusive distribution rights for the sale of Sewerin’s entire water leak detection product portfolio in the United States. With the water leak detection products and 3M’s locating and marking products for identifying and protecting utility assets, 3M will aim to bring a comprehensive solution to this market segment. By combining forces, 3M and Sewerin will provide a broader range of offerings to customers in the utilities markets, enabling them to better manage their critical infrastructure assets.

“We are pleased at how the alliance with Sewerin GmbH has provided value to customers,” said Rory Yanchek, general manager of 3M Track and Trace Solutions. “Now with the extension of 3M’s U.S. Track and Trace team distributing water leak detection, we believe it will make it easier for utilities to have full-product solutions at their disposal.”

3M will assume exclusive distribution as well as management of the inventory and service of Sewerin products in the United States. 3M will also sell a co-branded product range. Customers who are currently served by the Sewerin LLC will be working with 3M Track and Trace Solutions.
