Hungerford & Terry
Hungerford & Terry is a privately owned manufacturer of custom-designed water treatment systems. This has been their only business since 1909. They specialize in boiler feed water and other industrial water treatment applications, as well as municipal systems for iron, manganese, arsenic and nitrate removal. Equipment can be shipped skid-mounted and fully assembled or knocked down for field erection. A complete lab is available for water analysis, jar testing, column studies and field pilot plant tests.

Ultrafiltration (UF) can now be considered an effective alternative to conventional media filtration in many applications. For well water that is deemed to be "under-the-influence-of-surface-water,” UF provides a physical barrier to the passage of virus and organisms that media filtration does not. These membrane pretreatment systems extend the membrane life and optimize treatment while saving money and meeting or exceeding regulatory water requirements. This ensures the highest-quality water. Hutchinson, Kan., serves as an example of pretreatment for a reverse osmosis system utilizing GreensandPlus and anthracite filter beds to remove iron and manganese. more
